Responding to industry demand, the no-fee open-source software will be available for vocational rehabilitation (VR) agencies nationwide to test their RSA-911 reports before submission to the Rehabilitation Services Administration (RSA).
“Our Aware community asked Alliance to develop this valuable audit tool, and we are responding to our customers’ needs,” said Alliance CEO, Chris M. Pieper. “The new RSA-911 edit checker will be available to all VR agencies, at no cost, and will help ensure that agency reports reflect a high-quality metric based on our interpretation of the RSA-911 policy directives.”
Founded in 1981, Alliance has a rich history of developing software in support of the nation’s commitment to helping people with disabilities acquire new skills and obtain meaningful employment. Alliance’s Aware software is the industry standard for vocational rehabilitation case management, data analytics and cloud services and is used by more than 12,000 rehabilitation service providers across 38 state agencies and 23 tribal nations.
Alliance announced plans for the new RSA-911 edit checker at the getAwareLive! workforce conference in Dallas this week. Conference keynote speaker David Steele, who is fiscal unit chief at the RSA, will discuss new federal guidance that positions state agencies to be in full compliance with accurate, complete and timely WIOA financial reporting, reducing the risk of recovery of funds. The annual getAwareLive! event brings together vocational rehabilitation, workforce, accessibility and technology professionals to share experiences, best practices and collaborate on improving opportunities for people with disabilities.
